Cowpa
Dear readers, sorry about the errors. It is really hard to post from the phone.
I had a very vivid dream recently. A young girl lived with her grandfather. He built her a special bedroom above the closet where she could hide. Her mother was nearly catatonic. The girl thought the bedroom was so cool! It was not much more than the size of the mattress. Just room enough for her and her dog. It was insulated and had a 100 watt light bulb that would heat the little space. There was food, water, books and everything she needed for a successful hideout. Her grandfather built it so he could hide her from her father and protect her. So she would never have to go back and live with him again.
I miss you every day Cowpa. Every day. I realize now why I had flying dreams when I lived with you. It just occurred to me dad used to go to work and I was safe. Things were always better when he was gone but then I was free to be with you. You always wanted to keep me safe and somehow now I know you didn't want me to leave.
