Off to the sea

I had a lovely time in Helsingborg yesterday. The food at Lagmarks was great as always, the coffee at Ebbas creamy and bitter, the cake to large to eat and the conversation stimulating. I could wish for nothing else. Perhaps only that we had another hour.

When we walked to Ebbas from the restaurant I saw, further down the street, a well dressed older gentleman. He had a green jacket, his coat over his arm, a walking stick and polished shoes. I admired his attire and realized that he admired mine as well! When we drew near I greeted him with a tip of my hat (I had my bowler on) and his face lit up with a wonderful smile and he dipped his head in greeting as well.
I think that's one of the nicest reactions I've got from wearing hats to my everyday attire.

Today we set course for the sea. Me and my sweetest are going to Skanör to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. As every other year we'll take off, spend the night somewhere other than our apartment and eat a magnificent meal. We've been lucky so far and every restaurant we've chosen has actually been great!

The weather leave something to wish for, a stiff wind and a few degrees less than I hoped for, but we'll take our swimsuits with us just the same. A little waves can't keep a viking out of the ocean! Or that's what I keep telling myself... I'll let you know just how much I've lied when we get back.
