where are people's manners?

I was right, sleep was scarce these past days but it had nothing to do with my sweetest being on a trip. I had plenty of things to do and no time to sleep in.

It started with a party at my place on Thursday night. I counted it as a success since it lasted until three o' clock at night and, wonder above wonders, I was awake the entire time! This has to be considered a miracle as I usually fall asleep in the armchair at twelve. Now, even if I enjoy sleeping in a room full of people (if they are friendly that is) I like it better not to miss any of the party.

Friday was a busy day. A quick stop at my magician of a hairdresser then a really good lecture on Madame Bovary (a boring book but a revolution according to my teacher- a sentiment he made us recognize through brilliant rhetoric). In the evening we had a second photo shoot with A from my class. His camera seamed to have missed us- every single person looked like a star in his pictures.

I got teased about the amount of pictures he took of me last time. What? Like 300 and then some were a lot? Besides, half of them are with other people as well... And if they had been the one to listen to A talk they would have felt time fly as well. He has the most enticing photo manners (or whatever one call the things a photographer tells his model to make her feel gorgeous) and make everybody glow.

Well, I listened to what they said (after all, I had done it all before) and waited my turn like a good girl. Or, that was what I thought I did... But when I got i front of the camera I could hear what they said out in the hallway. Call me old-fashioned, but I think you should wait until the person you say bad things about at least has left the apartment.

But then again, that's just me.

And then my sweetest got back from the trip and I had one person rooting for me no matter what!

home alone, vanity
