Chapter 8 - Redemption

Sherlock lay as still as he could, eyes clenched closed, waiting for the bullet to hit. Any second now, the bullet would hit is head, and his life would be over.

Seconds ticked by in his head, and still Sherlock waited. Time seemed to run unnaturally slowly ( Read more... )

I knew you weren't going to kill him off! And both of them rescuing him is perfect - Mycroft to comfort him, John to do the practical things, break the handcuffs, find his clothes.

Both of them to make him want to live.

I should stay that way at least until the police arrive.
"he"

He had BETTER. He needs to go to JAIL. Or the grave. Either one.

Poor Sherlock. I hope John finds his clothes. Don't blame him, not wanting anything from that guy.

Fixed! Thanks.

And yeah, I wanted something to demonstrate how something like this can ruin even Sherlock's logic and rationality, making you feel like everything to do with this guy is somehow contaminated. The clothes thing seemed perfect.

Brilliant story!!! All of their voices just seem so very... THEM!!! It was so heartbreaking when all Sherlock could think about was his brother coming to save him. And then he did. Poor Mycroft though, the guilt of not being fast enough will kill him. Sherlock is utterly wonderful in this. I love how he explains to Mycroft that yes, he really DID save him. And the last comment = Lolz! Lovely. Perfect. :D

“I just kept thinking 'where is Mycroft, I want my big brother'.”

“Oh God.”

This exchange broke my heart. This whole story was wonderful (if that's the right word). There was a lot of highly in-character Sherlock, despite the unlikely situation of him having emotions.

Well he claims to not have emotions, but, as the great and creepy Moriarty said, we both know that's not true, don't we.
