Because 1297 is running a weekend meme, and because I'm still stuck at home and not on vacation because of the snow, and because I can't believe no one took the Kirk/McCoy prompt...I grabbed this off my hard drive, dusted it off, and hastily finished it. If you gag at the end, remember, the prompt was "nice."

There was something a little Stargate-ish about this fic, I think. I do not believe we have mined all the possibilities of AMTD and fertility rituals. Hmm.

Glad you liked the dialogue! I don't know about you, but I find it much easier to write than that in-between stuff.

*scuffs feet* Well, I did write an original drabble a while back when a friend challenged me. On the whole, though, I would infinitely rather read than write. :-)

Not wanting to write...well, that's another matter altogether. But I am quite justified in my opinion that you can. [crosses arms, nods with satisfaction]

LOL, it was original fic because I have never felt inspired to write fanfic (even though I do play out extended scenes from other people's fanfic in my head on a semi-regular basis), and I needed to rely on a little bit of autobiographical inspiration. :-/
