Back from the Abyss
Sam has been bugging me to update one of my journals. So, in order to fulfill my duty as an obedient wife (Kidding, feminists! Only kidding!), I'm pulling out the high heels and vacuum and writing a new entry.
As you may have noticed, there are now advertisements on my journal. Unfortunately, their infiltration of my journal was completely with my permission. (Why am I talking so funny?) They have a new "Sponsored" account status that's free and lets you have more userpics and upload scrapbook pictures and do crazy stuff like update your journal with a voice message. Crazy. So I'm trying it out, and if the ads get too annoying, I'll switch back to the boring free account.
I had thought that things would slow down now that the wedding is over, but there's still more busy-ness to be had, apparently. We're looking for a new apartment, so we can take care of my dog Powder after my parents move away. There's one that we like that's about half a mile from our current apartment, and that seems very promising. That is, provided we get all the little forms and cashier's checks and stuff that they want. Getting all the money together for this move could be VERY tricky.
So, speaking of money, looks like I won't be going to Anime Expo this year. Even if I did have enough money to go (which seems unlikely), AX falls on the July 4th weekend, which is when we'd have to move, most probably. It'd be better if we could move in the weekend before, but we probably wouldn't be able to, since the apartment we're trying to get probably won't be ready until the 28th. I think I'll try to get the 30th off from work so moving will be easier...
But I'm pretty excited about this place we wanna get. It's 850 square feet, slightly bigger and slightly cheaper than our current apartment, it has a dishwasher, enclosed balcony, accepts dogs, and is in a quiet neighborhood. We could still even walk to our favorite restaurants if we want. I hope we get it, and that we can settle down there for a while. It'd be nice to have a couple years without moving...
