Good friends = Good Weekend

i love my friends. i really really do. it makes such a difference when you guys are around. :)

Friday
Got off of work early (630!) and headed to Ken's where I got my first experience playing Rockband. I wouldn't consider my performance a memorable one as I failed to hit any of the beats on cue. Yes, I have a talent for sucking at games. Headed to Old Town for dinner except we probably didn't eat until 9 pm since the first two restaurants that we tried to eat at (Yardhouse and Cheesecake) had a ridiculous wait! We ended up at Gyu-Kaka which actually turned out to be pretty good and affordable (we didn't go crazy on the Japanese BBQ).

After coming home, Paula and Judy came over, which was really sweet. It's nice to have friends support you and be there for you ... so thanks guys!

Saturday
Finally ... the day has come! That is, dessert day! Took Allen (Bestie on probation) to Beverly Hills to check out my hood (well, where my client is currently located). It was fun! We ate at my favorite restaurant in Bev Hills ("The Farm") and got to do our dessert challenge: Crumbs, gellato, Sprinkles, then Pinkberry. It was intense but so worth it! I'm still on a sugar high, 8 hours later. Anyway, it was a beautiful day out and I'm glad I got to spend it with one of my favorite people. We also saw one of the basketball players on the Clippers in the GUCCI store! And ran into paparrazi who were trying to take pictures of Chris Rock and Vanessa Hudgens. We actually waited outside the store Vanessa Hudgens was shopping at for about 30 minutes, only to have her walk out the back door ...

We tried to do some shopping: I've been eyeing a couple sunglasses for a while and there was a GUCCI and DIOR one that I really liked, but they weren't blingin' enough for me. Also attempted to get Allen to buy a dress shirt for clubbing in SD but was silly enough to walk into Dolce & Gabbana and was humbled by the experience. Yes, dress shirt was $625. I'm not lying.

Anyway, now I'm rewatching the last season of Gilmore Girls because it reminds me of my high school friends! Luke + Lorelai forever!
