I can't believe that it's been four months since I updated this thing! Jeez Louise!
Let's recap the last few months, shall we?
Wedding preparations: In full-swing. Invitations ordered, everything pretty much decided on, honeymoon (the most important part) paid for in full! I am very ready for it to be wedding time...I cannot believe how close it is, though. It feels like I've been waiting on this for so long, and now that it's almost here I just can't believe that it's real. I am so ready to be Mrs. Goggans! At this point we could get married on the courthouse steps and I would be just as excited. (As long as we get to set sail on a cruise to the Caribbean, that is.) Hopefully J. will have a real job soon-we have our eyes on a house we like, but I'm not ready to commit to it yet until I know that we can financially swing it. He's graduating this weekend, which is nuts-I've been dating this kid since before his high school graduation. Yup, it's definitely time we got hitched...We bought our wedding bands last weekend and mine is SO pretty. I can't wait to wear it! Less than two months to go!
School: Winding down for the year. We only have 11 days left, which is crazy! My kids are so wild it's not even funny, but honestly, at this point? I'm just making it until 3:00 every day. The only thing that has me less than exuberant about the last day of school is that I have to finish my first-year teaching portfolio by then. It'll get done (I've done all of the really hard work, but I still have a LOT of journals to do), but I'm not that excited about the actual process of GETTING it done. VERY reminiscent of college, which I was more than happy to put behind me.
Speaking of which, I need to get back to it...blah!
