Oh god, it's so hard to make a judgment like that. Yesterday somebody asked me whether Taxonomy was better than my other stuff and I'm like, "I have no idea how to answer that." I think part of it is I write such a variety of things it's hard to compare directly. And I had a blast writing all of them so I can't say one was my favorite to write, either. I will say "Major Pieces" was my first long-form piece, but it's still a great favorite of mine because I still think my characterization of Sherlock and his faith in John rings very true. The downside of that fic is that the case is kind of obvious and you don't see much of John. On the other side you have the Push!verse, especially Step Two, which is probably my favorite of that series. I love, love, love AUs- both reading and writing. They're invigorating and they give you a ton of insight as you try to figure out how to make the characters and their relationship essentially the same even though it's coming from a totally different direction. I love making John run around kicking ass and I love reintroducing John and Sherlock to each other.
So if I was pushed, I might say those two are my favorites of my own work. (But ask me again next week and I might say something different. :D)
