Okay, I'm riveted already. I love John's protectiveness, and I think it's damn smart of him. Sherlock is so confident with himself, but he'd actually take drugs as part of his cover? That's overconfidence there. I like the fact that John notices certain twitches in the hands of the hostesses and has begun to pick up on who is not okay and who is.
TY! I've often thought that BBC Sherlock feels a lot younger than his counterparts in other version, and part of it is his weird mix of cerebral/anticipatory thinking and impulsiveness. Taking drugs to avoid breaking character is just the sort of absurdly dumb choice that I can picture him rationalizing away.
