Somebody on 'cest linked to this video, which is simultaneously the most hilarious and the most horrifying thing I have seen this week. The mind boggles!
(Cursory googling tells me that this is a largely Japanese meme, based on a clothing commercial featuring a Jpop band. If you want more, google 'russ-k commercial')
Finally, some of you have been nagged about the Sherlock Holmes trailer, and whether you have watched it. I myself have always rather disliked Sherlock Holmes; I don't know why, but in my early attempts at reading Doyle's work, I found the stories boring and overrated. Now I think I'm going to have to try again...Especially seeing as how I have done some googling after seeing the trailer, and find that (among other things) Holmes uses cocaine, is an expert at bartitsu, and can beat your punk ass down in good old-fashioned fisticuffs. At any rate, now you have NO EXCUSE to not have seen the trailer, cuz here it is:
This is either going to be totally retarded or totally awesome, and I don't know which. Either way, I think I have to see it. Also: Robert Downey Jr.
(For some reason I keep looking at Holmes and thinking House, which is all kinds of fucked up...especially since I am now thinking of Ritchie's Holmes as a sort of AU where Greg House teams up with Wilson in Victorian England and they solve mysteries and blow shit up in between sniping at each other about their personal habits because omg totally married and JESUS TAPDANCING CHRIST WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.)
