When I saw this on my friends page I was so excited. SO EXCITED.

And you did not disappoint. The way that you really got into Becky's head is so sincere and sweet, and it feels really organic and true to her character. The beginning was cute and funny, but the story definitely got into heavier topics without really being heavy handed about it. It takes real talent to so subtly talk about something like that.

I like how you brought in other characters as well, even just for a little bit. It's something I really enjoy seeing in stories, it makes the world seem more realistic. People aren't as isolated as they are often made in fics.

The interactions between Luke and Becky are just...perfect, they really are. They're touching and heartbreaking so so lovely and hopeful at the end. The way they talk to each other is just like I imagine they would in the show. In fact, this fic? I could see it being in the show, that's how well I think you've written the characters and their actions/reactions/conversations. I hope they take inspiration from you ;) I just want these kids to be happy!

tl;dr, I was just beaming by the end. So lovely. I'm so glad you wrote this, I hope to see more from you!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Clearly we both need to write as much as we can - Becky & Luke need more fic! FNL needs more fic in general, though, really. I've written a bit of gen (mostly backstory ficlets and things) but most of my focus has been Tim/Julie, which in a way is too bad because I know it's not everyone's cup of tea. Honestly, I would kill for more quality FNL gen fic.
