Introducing Tarfun
In the spirit of our other cats *Snafu and Fubar, I'd like to present the newest member of the Jay and the AH family:
Tarfun.
What's really sad is that I haven't even started volunteering at the SPCA yet, and I've already gotten myself another cat. Not that it wasn't more than a little predictable that I would, but still.
Tarfun was discovered while I was at the pet store picking up food for the other two cats (this would be AH's first mistake--we're never supposed to let me go to the pet store. It's just a bad idea), and I went over to the pet section and found her, three of her brothers, and two other wee tiny kittens. She and her brothers are all about four months old, which is old for a pet store kitten, so I asked about them, and I was told that they'd been in the pet store for two months already. That no one wants black cats (which blows my mind because she's GORGEOUS), and even though they'd dropped the price, no one was interested in them. And now that they weren't kitten-kittens anymore, they were even less likely to find a home.
Then they told me about her--about this beautiful sweetheart who purrs as soon as you pick her up, and snuggles up in your arms.
I picked her up. She stole my heart. And I brought her home two days later, thanks to a sweet and wonderful Academic Husband who indulges me even when I'm crazy and determined to turn into a crazy old cat lady.

I'll try to get some better pictures later, but the AH wasn't home when I took these and she wasn't all that cooperative, since she wanted snuggles.
Now all we need to do is get Fubar and Snafu to stop being pissed at me for bringing in a little interloper....
