*does waving to the everyone*
Okay, so. Last year,
ashinae and I wrote a story for
au_bigbang, because AUs are awesome, and, well, we're wordy. A lot wordy. But if you like AUs and are wordy, you should sign up too, because last year was fun. We wrote a Sports Night AU that was set in a small Nova Scotian fishing town. It's not as strange as it sounds, honest. Okay, so anyway.
This year, we're going to write something in the Stargate Universe. The main pairing will be Sheppard/McKay, and it'll involve a heck of a lot of the people from the Stargate Universe, SGA, and SG1. But not SGU, because... seriously, do I have to explain why not? Didn't think so.
Ash has had a bunny chasing her down and nipping at her heels for awhile now, so we know roughly what we want to do, and where we want to go, but sign ups aren't until March, so it won't be for a little while yet. But this year, we decided to plan at least a little bit ahead, because the one thing we don't have is a SGA/SG1 beta.
This will be AU, of course, but we still will need someone who's aware of the canon to let us know how it works characterization wise. We're hoping to find someone good and picky who can make fun of Ash for stealing all the commas, and me for being appallingly bad with my sentence fragments, but we're also looking for people who can read it from an overall 'does this work' audiencing standpoint.
SO, to make a long story... less long, is there anyone out there who thinks they'd be interested in betaing, audiencing, making fun of commas and sentence fragments while reading really wordy AU stuff? Anyone? Anyone?
Bueller?
