Sound like utter bastards who know they can get away with it because, hey, young broke people thousands of miles from home in a foreign culture where they can't speak the language. And it's their fault if they get thrown in jail for doing what they were advised to.

Ack Ack evil stalker!!!11one! I'm okay. Have really fallen off the writing online thing and now post the occasional tweet and that's it. Keep meaning to try for more but then I think anything interesting I could say seems old and out of date...

Currently in Paris for a couple of weeks having the locals not understand my crap French and helping doseybat with fetching, filing away and databasing grass specimens (some of which don't have the neatest handwriting...), making maps and tea and hopefully providing emotional support (she really doesn't seem to like it here by herself). Other then that we've moved into her parents as rent went up in our old place and we were only kindof but not really affording before the increase. House and rental prices in London are silly but we'll start looking again once finances start to recover a bit more. Otherwise life is continuing on, somehow.
