One of our clients passed away earlier this week. The obituary came out
Thursday; his funeral is tomorrow. He was one of the first clients at our
program's inception.
I've only worked off and on with him. The last time I saw him was when he
was in the ICU of the hospital in town with pneumonia a couple months ago.
He kept trying to undo his restraints, take off his breathing mask, and
leave his bed so I bribed him to stay by letting him sniff my fruity lip
balm - he really liked to smell things. We called it "smellies time".
Dude you guys, he was only in his freaking fifties. That's crazy balls.
