omg! simon cowell & Dick Clark on the emmys
omg! simon cowell on the emmys - he looked like crap. At first he didn't look so bad.(except that his shirt was open waaaay too low & his face looked a bit, um, swollen?) There seemed to be a touch of sunburn on his chest (or was that a prelimenary set of nerves, a premonition for what was to come?)
When he came out the crowd was, um, not welcoming. Much vocal hostility - no applause. After his opening remarks (in preperation for honoring the GREAT Dick Clark (I grew up in Philly, and yes, watched it religiously. sn-also-Dancing on Air)- then, after a short film montage about Mr Clark, the camera was back on Simon. Who was red and moist of face...wooo man, and looking a bit uncomfortable. Thankfully back to a longer montage of Mr. Clark, and then the man himself came out and spoke :) He rocks.
Then Barry Manilow sang.
i love to soak in a lot of different visual stuff while working on music or various techy projects...and this was certainly a treat.
