American Idol, Music & My Brain
American idol --- on my nice computer stereo system I checked out clips from the 3/21/06 American Idol contestants. Nice crop of talent. I wasn’t surprised Kevin went home, he was a poor mans Clay Aiken. The voice just wasn’t there.
Mandissa is very good, she should go far in the competition. Who is this Bucky??? I just noticed him…ok, hmmm…fun, but na, not strong enuf. Ok, Paris. Again, verry nice, smooth, pretty, still, the voice doesn’t have enuf depth. Then, holy sheeze…Chris Daughtry comes on, and it takes me awhile to realize he singing ‘Walk the Line’ ‘cause I’m really listening 2 his voice, and he gives that look right into the camera lens…ahhh…def one 2 watch! Hahaha, then comes Taylor…he can sing, he can dance, he’s, I dunno. Ok, then, Lisa. She is lovely! Nice voice, good mood, nice vibe. Elliot. Hmm, just noticed him too - have 2 give him another listen ‘casuse I swear I saw this guy singing at a local wedding or something… Kellie…oh I see now what all the fuss is with her with all the 9-14 girls..- but they have a dilemma with her… they think she’s cute and has a nice voice, but most of them don’t like country. Ace….heeheee, it would have been nice if they gave him a wee bit more than 2 seconds on the clip…he seems ok, he’s cute, I’ll hear him again.
Music --- since everything in the house is like, everywhere during this whole rebuilding/building process, my studio/office/pilates room has been co-opted as a closet……eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !!!
So, I was going crazy juss listening to 1 record at a time on that little portable Numark (which I love dearly, you can take it with you ANYwhere and play a record!) When you are a dj, you have to mix. You just have to…you’ll say, “Im only 2 listen 2 a few things here, so I’ll turn on 1 table, check these out, then close up 4 the night” Then suddenly, both tables are on, you’re mixing, you’re grabbing other things, maybe something you’ve been trying 2 get 2 go with something, and throw that on….heeheehee! Anyhows…I set up 2 of my 1200’s, a new mixer with usb to my laptop, and run that into the living room system, whch is pretty good for now….but I got my big amp and speakers dragged out there now & will have to get Rob 2 help mount those. It’s nice, we can have custom music anytime! The table is one of those huge “pub tables’ so it’s pretty high and sturdy. We can have dinner on the other side. I’m refinding my sound…it’s not so experimental right now, I feel it kinda on the darkside, moody like, a bit sexy, mysterious, forward moving, a touch wobbly, a bit of fun…..
My brain --- I have referenced problems with my poor brain for years now. It all started with that ski trip…at least it was the last day of a week vacation that I fell…and it was quite spectacular I was told. Anyhows, now I can say “I need that like I need ANOTHER hole in my head” I’ve been into that Life Extension thing for a long time now…and am currently revising my ‘stacks’. I’ve upped my Coq10 to over 200 mg day with a good result, and am awaiting my Idebenone. Alpha Lipoic Acid & NAC have also helped. I’ll list the rest as it gels.
