Anybody else out there a yoyo dieter? Around 20 months ago my doc told me to lose weight or my knee replacement surgery was a no-go. So, I did! I lost 50 lbs. It was hard as hell but I did it and lost even more during my recuperation and rehab. I'd managed to keep it off and drop a bit more until Halloween, 2019. Too many orders for cookies and cupcakes. Then there were the holidays and, you guessed it, more baking and I gained a bit more.
Now I'm stuck. It seems I'm hungry all the time, even after a healthy meal. What I did to lose the initial weight, low fat, low carb foods and walking, just isn't working. I had even tried the diet pill from the doc, Phentermine, but it did a number on my blood pressure so I had to stop. It's a constant battle not to gain back all the weight I've lost.
I am seriously considering the Keto diet. I've done the research and think it's doable. Not for a long term, just until I get my body adjusted to burn fat for fuel instead of carbs. The problem is, I don't know anyone that's done it to ask about how it worked for them. Has anyone here in LJ tried Keto? I could really use some help.
