Wat a year, huh. Pfff.
Let's see how I did on
last year's resolutions!
General
- Let's hope this is the year I finally find a new job I DID OMG. The best part was that they called ME for the job! I'm starting... literally tomorrow officially, but it's in education so my first actual day is on the 10th after the Christmas holidays.
- Start a blog (again, lol) nope lol
- Start doing yoga I did a few youtube yoga sessions at home but ehhh.
- Start hiking/walking I did SOME... but the weather this summer wasn't great and I was too busy.
- Do the
Camino de Santiago (Portuguese way) in September (I've already booked! Although that's not saying much these days) I did this! Although I only did half actually walking. My body isn't up to strenuous exercise anymore. :(
- Get a tattoo maybe? I've had some ideas I got a
shell tattoo on my ankle, on my birthday, in Santiago de Compostela!
Crafting
- Finish the
Giant Harry Potter embroidery project I don't think I even worked on this at all. My feelings about HP have become... complicated, let's say.
- Buy a sewing machine did this!
- Sew at least one skirt and one top did not do this, lol.
- Start making a Regency wardrobe I... bought the patterns and the fabric. :p Hope to get around it in 2022
- Sew a corset Nope
- Try out handsewing I *started* stitching a facemask (ahh, 2021) but it was too fiddly
- Try out
sashiko embroidery
check!
- Do more handspinning (I have a spindle); spin enough yarn to knit a project did spin, but not enough for a project. But I'm gonna buy a spinning wheel next year!
- Knit a pair of gloves
check!
- Crochet a blanket didn't crochet at all, haha.
Other creative things
- Do more photography I... did a lot of photography on my pilgrimage? Although I'm not super impressed with the photos
- Finish at least one photo book with holiday pictures I started two? Haha
- Do more urban sketching (while on Camino?) I did do this! Although not a lot.
- Learn 5 more songs on my ukelele and film myself performing them well...
one is a start. :p
2022 resolutions tomorrow!
