Friday Five - going away (I wish)
1) What's the furthest place you've traveled to in the last 12 months?
Hahahahahahahaha sob.
Um. I went to the Eise Eisenga planetarium last summer, that was basically the one location that wasn't my home, my parents' home (in the same city) or my boyfriend's home.
2) What's the most interesting small town within driving distance?
There are a lot of interesting small towns nearby. :p But I do have a fondness for Hattem, which is not just within driving distance, it's within cycling distance! Long live the Netherlands.
3) What's the coolest tourist attraction in your city?
I have a particular fondness for our local basilica since I'm a volunteer and guide there! Plus you get an awesome view from the top of the tower, which you can climb.
4) What was your favorite road trip you took as a kid?
When I was younger (under 12) my parents only did trips in the Netherlands itself. We would go camping, but always in a different location, so we got to see quite a bit of the country, which was pretty neat! Later on we would go abroad. The best trip was when I was like 16 years old and we took a 3 week trip to Normandy and Brittany in France and visited a lot of superinteresting sites, like the D-Day beaches and Mont Saint Michel.
5) How often do you feel like you've got to get away?
NOT OFTEN ENOUGH. :(
