Life is delicious. More so when there is chocolate involved.
My room is warm and smells like orange-flavoured tea. A recently-acquired Dave Brubeck CD is playing in the background (thanks, Adrienne). I am wearing a beautiful jewel-toned scarf I just bought to benefit an orphanage in Nairobi. I feel pretty and mellow and I will be seeing friends tonight.
It's moments like these that make me realize that I shouldn't stress about what to do with my life. It only takes the simplest things to make me inexplicably happy. It only takes surrounding myself with fantastic people and, if I'm lucky, helping them to be happy in return.
Yesterday I went to lessons and carols and witnessed a glorious snowfall. If snow were an element, it would be mine. I see God in every snowflake and it makes me feel like exploding with joy.
