Ode to the Queen

Wow, you are all way too nice to me. I can't believe nobody even made fun of me. Personally I think you missed a golden opportunity.

Trying to move on today we are going somewhere we can all agree on--BOOKSTORE! Our little cousin is turning two and we need to buy a present. This will be a great opportunity to reread some of the wonderful toddler books I haven't looked at in a long time. Hopefully many of my favorites are still in print. Some of the books from their early childhood I have memorized and will never forget.

As a thank you to you wonderful supportive writers out there, here's one of my favorites.

The Green Queen by Nick Sharratt:

The green queen
lay in her red bed
and looked at the gray day.

But she had to go out, so she got up.

She put on her blue shoes,
her black jacket,
and her yellow and pink and turquoise and brown and orange and indigo scarf.

And...
out she went.
