It seems like the days just keep getting shorter and shorter and I'm getting sleepier and sleepier. I only have about one or two homework a day now. It's pretty boring at home doing nothing (should have stay at school for the 3:30 bus). Things are pretty chilled right now although we're currently in the middle of the Othello assessment essay. I have nothing to do but stalk pixiv and read manga online.
My new obsession: Puella Magica Madoka. This series is a red herring. The OP was cute and the idea of becoming a magic girl with one granted wish is also cute and stereotypical. Then the 3rd EP came and someone's head got chop off.... Now that's what I call entertainment. I just feel kinda bad for any small children hoping to see cute girls fight off weird monsters. The show is not a disappointment. I advise anyone to watch it. I also like the idea how there's a lot of allusion to Goethe's Faust. The girls selling their soul to the devil (coming in the disguise of a cute animal). There's five main characters in this story not including Kyuubey and by ep 10/12 there's only 2 left. Things are not looking good for Homura and ep 10 tells nothing but a flashback of why she is the way she is. I just know that there's no way this series can end happily. If it did, there would a riot. You can't just turn this kind of story around in 2 ep. The rating would drop dead.
I have taken up Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov from the library. For those of you who don't know, Lolita is told from the perspective of a pedophile and his story about how he came to know the young girl that goes by the name of Lolita. Half the time people gives me strange looks when I mention the word pedophile but hey.. it's actually a good book. For a classic genre. The guy sounds more like a poet than a creepy stalker man. He makes stalking seems like a normal every day thing. It is wayyyyyy more watered down than Dark Hunters. I'm almost done with book just a few more chapters before I go back to being book-less with overdue library books.
I'm stopping myself to buy any books until the Annual Thai Book Fair starting next Friday. I plan to buy my manga and novels then. Yu Wo is coming back to do signing on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday..... I'll have to ask Dad about that. Another novel of her is being released at this fair. Something about a girl or guy raised in a jungle or something. If it isn't long then I might buy it. I have given up the thought of going to the book fair with friends. It's way too much of a hassle. I just go with Dad as my shopping carrier. I can't wait to taste the ice cream they usually sell at the fair! I think I would just go to the fair on Sunday after the opening and either the Sunday after the week days or the last day of the fair.
