Summer time makes me homesick
Most people go home when school lets out, and I usually do too. I usually spend the majority of the summer in Germany visiting the family. But this summer and last summer my parents and I have stayed stateside for the summer because of my mother's health. Every time I get on Facebook I'm bombarded by my school peers that are studying abroad in Germany or a surrounding country and I'm getting insanely jealous. If I had been able to stick to the plan to study abroad in Prague this summer, I could spend my weekends with my family in Germany. Instead I'm stuck in suburbia USA, staring at the stack of internship applications that I haven't completed yet. I hate summer. Can it be August, please?
