Well, it looks like planarplatypus is currently operating by Hong Kong Time, so he's not able to drive down to Weymouth tomorrow, which means delaying moving stuff for a few days. Whilst I'd love to be able to see portilis again, he has yet to meet Chloe. As a rule it's best if people who already know eachother introduce unknowns, but I'm not going to be able to take a break from lectures hence meaning I can't really take him up on his very kind offer (extremely kind indeed, considering we have not spoken in years). Not to mention Chloe's problems with interacting with people.

So I'll be seeing Chloe for a few hours on wednesday, it seems. Perhaps some of my new friends at Birmingham might even be treated to her, too. They've yet to find this place, by the way.

The new house is fairly nice. Two bedrooms, one a small master bedroom, the other a single that we'll be using as a study and guest bedroom. The bathroom is fairly standard, with a new shower fitted over the bath, and it can't have worse extraction than our current (well, previous for me) flat. Downstairs has a small lounge, complete with a pleather three-piece suite and sockets for TV and telephone. On the other side of the stairs is a kitchen large enough for a dining table, which comes with a nice looking gas stove, a washing machine and microwave. All the windows are double glazed, and whilst the doors are not, they have a yale lock as well as a bolt lock. Heating is by a very new gas boiler, and there is a burglar alarm in place and working. We will even have a yard at the back, and whilst it is completely paved, it can be used with potted plants.

Once myself and Chloe have had a few weeks to settle in, or at least enough to get the place usable, friends will be welcome to ask if they can come visit, perhaps even stay for a while. Having a house gives you such nice advantages, and we are fairly centrally placed being in Birmingham and all. Expect news of a house-warming party, if chloe will let me :P

Speaking of which, I would have been able to meet up with a few friends in person this last week, if you had all given me some notice :P Anywere within an easily and affordably reachable (Less than £10 for a cheap day return) distance of Birmingham New Street can be reached (including Coventry and Wolverhampton), and since I'll probably take a train to New Street, anyone having to wait for a change there can also be encountered. I can't promise I'll be able to make it to anywere, since I've lectures, and I will understand if you'd rather not (for instance, if you are traveling with other friends or work people). Obviously, if you are actually travelling to Birmingham, there is no excuse at all! ;)

Currently a little non-plussed by the organisation of student societies at Birmingham Uni, and I can see myself getting involved purely out of annoyance, since I've seen it done well several times now.

Once I have the cable to upload images from my camera to a computer, I might post an image of my new coat plushie fox, called 'Designed' (there's a reason for the name that some of you may be able to guess). I'm so glad I have one small enough to fit in my coat pocket again yet big and cute enough to fuss over properly.

Speaking of foxes, I had a dream last night about a fairly innocent fur meet. Normally with dreams, I am able to deduce what purpose they have without too much thinking, and those which turn out to be meaningless are quickly put aside. This one, however, has remained in my head all day for some reason, and has been really confusing me. A potential aspect could have been the resemblance of the person I curled up with to someone from the LGBTsoc at Brum, which is made more likely by the fact that I felt that he'd be worth talking to about it (sometimes you just know when people will be more helpful than others, very true on matters furry). It has also made me think that perhaps the fur thing is definately a part of me, and perhaps I should become active in that respect again.

Of course, that dream really wasn't needed after spending last night pondering the state of my head and the effects of the past.

As a final note, can anyone recommend a MUD client to me? XP's Telnet really sucks.
