Item: I'm not going to be married in 91 days time. Just for reference. Also, no more cufflinks references!
*sporfle* There was much teasing at David and Rachel's wedding.
It was a very posh wedding - cravats and morning dress. On the drive up to Derby, Dave and Ben and I experimented with Ben's cravat. Yes, I can now tie a cravat. The wonders of the internet on a phone.
We went up to Herefordshire on Friday night, meeting each other and Matt at Worcester Foregate Street, which is, I think, the dodgiest station I've ever been in. I was very glad Matt was there to meet me and wait with me till the others arrived. Matt and Gem have a flat over the vet's surgery where Gem works, and it's the loveliest place! A big kitchen with a huuuuuge food prep island, and sloping ceilings and a shower with two shower heads. And we met their dog Fudge, and Cobweb, who lives in the bathroom, which is slightly disturbing. Gem drove us to Derby in her lovely landrover, which was awesome fun, and we proceeded to enjoy the wedding. It was so awesome hanging out with Ben and Matt and Gem - it's been ages! We had such a nice lunch in Bromyard with the most amazing Ploughman' I've ever seen. A whole BRICK of cheese, which Dave and I had to help Gem with! And baskets hanging up for sale. And cake and jams and things. Mmm.
Our table at the reception was "Woodland Road", which pleased us all exceedingly (it's where Brizzle house is). Much glee was had (and mld annoyance at an irritating person and the bar which was extortionate AND cash only). And there was silly music and dancing.
Having written 1000 words of my Amores essay on the train to Worcester, I then was rubbish and was up till 1.30 this morning. But supervisor liked my ideas, and was pleased with last week's essay. She said I can write essays - YEY! Oh and I went to formal at John's last night, which was awesome fun. I had 3 glasses of wine and then came home to work (OMG strawberry wine so good!). I think Michael was disappointed because I was less amusing than last week. >< "You're not doing your bat-hearing-only voice". ><
Also puzzling, yesterday I went to lunch and as soon as I sat down, Michael and Io were all "OMG Lina you look so girly today"... Now admittedly I was wearing a skirt, but that's not an uncommon occurance. Nor is a pink top. And my scarf -was- silk instead of pashmina, but.... I dunno, I didn't feel any more girly than usual! They couldn't pinpoint why either, so it was just a bit odd. Ooh! But my new coat arrived today! Yey!
Need to watch James May's Toy Stories tomorrow - by the time I discovered it today, it was late.
