Hello, I'm looking for an old Dramione fic. It's a completed story, I think it was a one-shot or just 2-3 chapters.
Anyway, the story was set after school. Draco and Hermione were dating, but their relationship was cold. They've never even slept together yet. Not for lack of trying, but Draco was always pushing Hermione away and keeping her at a distance. So Draco was always moody and aloof, while Hermione was sad and hurt. Thinking that there must be something wrong with her.
I think Draco was injured during war, so he had a lame leg. I believe he had to use a walking stick.
So one day, Blaise told Draco about this... cottage? Or a hotel somewhere secluded. They had the best service and everything. Draco & Hermione decided to go and they traveled by car. They were kinda lost along the way. When they reached the cottage, it was completely empty, except for a cat. They couldn't find any servers working, but food was well stocked and their messes would be cleaned up afterwards.
Apparently, the cottage was taken care of by the old ghosts. The ghosts were the owner of the cottage and its maids.
After staying there for a few days, one day Hermione fell into a well. Draco without thinking ahead, went after her. They were both alone, inside a well, and none of them had their wands with them. It was in that well when Hermione confronted him about his behaviour and their relationship. In order to get out of the well, I think Draco managed to get a rope or something and pulled themselves out.
After that well incident, they finally said their true feelings and their relationship was finally on the right track. Before they left the cottage, Draco left a letter or perhaps it was a payment. Thanking for their hospitality. They had no idea about the ghosts at all.
They left the cottage happy and return to their regular life. But when they returned, they were confronted by a worried Blaise, who said that he was called by the cottage/hotel that Draco & Hermione never showed up. Blaise had tried to look for Draco & Hermione, but couldn't contact them.
So... all of them had no idea where did Draco & Hermione go or stay.
But it's safe to say that the trip saved their relationship.
