Finally, got to do something at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. It's been a while due to exams and general lack of things to do at the Centre. I like being able to make a little difference in someone's life, even something as minor as being a support person and someone who will listen to them for a few hours.
Lunch at Gopals - YUM! Dessert and coffee at Brunetti's - DOUBLE YUM!
Watched the acclaimed French Film The Grocer's Son (Le fils de l'épicier). DVD froze about 80% through, so I don't know the ending. Also didn't know why it won so many awards, I found it quite dull and the protagonist not likeable at all. Usually I love the French films that make it over here, but not this one.
Mum made
tangyuan, which was deeply exciting! :D Balls of glutinous rice or sago with mungbean filling, in a sweet coconut-milk soup and topped with sesame seeds. Doesn't sound that great but it is amazzzzzing.
Now, trying to work out what PAINTING or drawing short courses I want to do. So excited!
Happy weekend, kids!
