My truck is a fucking Decepticon
Okay, so this is how my day has gone so far. My friend Jenny needed to have a stay-cation so she rented a room at the Hilton last night and we both stayed there. Well, I had to be at work today for 3:00 so I told Jenny that I was leaving at 12:00--she needed to go and get a sketchbook, so I decided that I would follow her there in Avery (who I just got back from the shop on MONDAY, mind).
On our way towards Hobby Lobby the idiot in front of Jenny wasn't paying attention and slammed on her brakes to make a left turn. Jenny had to slam on her brakes and, subsequently, me on mine. Well, it had just started raining so both of us slid--she was lucky enough to avoid hitting the girl in front of her but I hit her from behind.
Well, we inspected the damage and, come to find out, she has no damage done to her bumper. The front of my truck, however, looks like Snaggletooth. -__- We popped the hood to see if his BRAND NEW ENGINE was all right and it looks like it's just cosmetic.
So, we continue on and get her sketchbook, then go to visit a friend so that she can ridicule us both. At around 1:30 I tell them that I have to get going. Well, I pull out onto the road and I haven't even gone a mile when the hood of my truck breaks its latch, flies up, and breaks my windshield. There are spiderweb cracks all over it and the driver's side wiper actually snapped off.
So yeah. The truck that I just got back from the shop on Monday, that my parents spent nearly $5000 repairing, now needs more work. Fucking Decepticon.
His engine is fine, though, and it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with anything other than the bumper, windshield, and hood (as if that wasn't enough). But yeah. That's been my day so far.
