Well I had quite an eventful past several days.

After finals, David and I took a spontaneous trip to San Luis Obispo. Unfortunately, we didn't arrive there until it became dark so we couldn't see much of the cute little town in proper light. We explored SLO, walked along the creek, and browsed a few shops. One of the stores was decorated very nicely...

This store was called Amnesia that had many interesting looking wooden statues. Nearby we feasted on lamb and gyros at a Moroccan/Mediterranean restaurant called Oasis.

After we had our fill for the night, we continued on to Morro Bay (after getting sidetracked on the 101N because we had no map). Once we found it, we parked next to Morro Rock and spent the night there.

It was completely dark, and almost completely lonely. I was somewhat scared of axe murderers. It was quite windy too.

I woke up before dawn to the sound some voices. There were men parked next to us, ready to go surfing I believe. I was glad they woke me up otherwise I wouldn't have witnessed the spectacular sunrise.

Morro Bay is so pretty...

Morro Rock

We had a quick bayside breakfast then left Morro Bay for a 1hr 45 min drive back south to Santa Barbara.

I had a wonderful time. I've never taken a trip like that before (almost on my own). It was just what I wanted and just what I needed. By going out and exploring somewhere new I really felt like I was experiencing life how I should. And I left with wonderful memories. How could I forget beautiful Morro Bay at the break of dawn?

Check out time from the dorm was 10am this morning. I'm pretty sure I was the last person left in the dorm at 11:30am. Stella drove me home and we decided to take Highway 1 instead of the 101 so we could have a more scenic drive.

Yay for the beautiful California Coast.

I arrived in Lomita at 4:30pm.

Things that have changed since I've been gone:
--We finally got satellite TV (with the exception of Greek channels we haven't had anything other than the basic channels since I was 12 years old)
--We got a Christmas Tree (another thing we haven't had since about that age)
--My mom became a US citizen
--My dad left for Israel+Greece
--My brother seems more motivated in school + has a girlfriend.

Ahh. 1 month of freedom.

What shall I do with a whole month?
