Much better!
Last night, I stayed outside for quite a while after I took the garbage out. The crisp, cool night air felt good to me. The atmosphere was clear, the stars beautiful - and I saw an Aurora! I watched for a long time. Unfortunately, Casey was trying to contact me for 1/2 hour and ended up jumping in her car to come down and see if I was OK, since I hadn't been feeling at all well. I felt bad that she had been concerned, but didn't know I was "supposed" to go inside immediately after I had gotten the garbage out so she could contact me! ;>) I finally came in when I got cold. I slept well curled up under the warm blankets - and discovered I could breathe better today.
Survived the Bio Lab practical this morning, turned in my final paper for Philosophy this afternoon, came home, charged the battery for the lawn mower, and sat on my back porch to study. I called Casey to see if she wanted to get out and do something active this evening. It was such a nice day that it seemed like the perfect opportunity. I'd been studying for a few hours and was ready to do something different.
We went to the botanical gardens at Cornell to hike a bit. Soon into our walk, a deer came into view and just hung out. She looked at us and sniffed the air, but we were slightly to the right of downwind. It was very close and we watched for a long time. During that time, we saw a pheasant walking further away. Squirrels were scurrying around all over the place. What a wonderful day to be there!
I've got a Biology final on Saturday. Tuesday, is the Research Methods final (at 8:00 in the morning!!) and the Cognitive Psychology final in the afternoon. Then I'm done for this term - as I received word from the prof who taught the Race and Gender Role Stereotype course that I am exempt from that final on Wednesday! Yay!
Only a few more days of serious studying, broken up doing something active once in a while to keep what tiny shred of sanity I have... somewhere. I'm afraid I may have misplaced it.
