#3 - the muted coloring of the subject makes it blend into the background. it could have done better with the subject a touch lighter or sharper to add some contrast.

3 - The whole icon looks very dark and lacks contrast. It has a rather muddy look and it does not seem as if a lot has happened with the cap apart from cropping it. There is nothing that makes it stand out or that you focus on while looking at the icon. Adding some light, contrast and color would be nice.

#2 - The crop is nice, but the subject blends too much into the background as they are both gray. Adding some shading or contrast could help.
