For the people who still don't know
Sorry for my absence these last few days, but I'm back and making headway through these mails. If anyone cares, here is my explanation: Huzzah.
It will be a few days before I seriously get up to speed, so bear with me, huh?
And it wasn't just any old run of the mill hammer. It was a stonemason's mallet, also affectionately known as a 'mini sledge'. Yes, it hurt. No, I didn't dieded. Aren't you all glad? Like I said, I'll get right on those reups as soon as I can.
And for all you curious folks,
THIS is what a 1lb mason’s sledge looks like. It isn’t ‘The One’ but it’s a similar model, even to the color. The one used had a navy blue handle and had been wrapped in pipe insulation for grip. When I have some actual pics I’ll be sure to offer them up for the few brave souls who’ve asked :)
Yes, it is rather astonishing that I took 4 head and 2 body whacks from this and lived. And no, it actually didn’t hurt all that much, at least I don’t think it did. More of a dull thud-and-realize sort or thing. I wouldn’t recommend it though. Find something better to do with those boring Tuesday mornings.
