What people don't write about that I wish they would!
I'm currently a spoiled brat. I got a gift and loved it. It was a fic about... wait for it... unspeakables and the department of mysteries. http://community.livejournal.com/sshg_exchange/152699.html
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the glut of creativity that the HP fandom has in spades. And I'm also not deluded enough to believe that the things that intrigue me about that series are going to be universally admired at the same level; but there is so much potential in the department of mysteries that I wonder why I haven't seen much much more in the way of unspeakable fics. Or at least ones that explore the mysteries to any depth and not just use the 'unspeakable' title to add mystery to a character.
Soooooooooooooooooo.... I'm going to spout off about the Department of Mysteries here. Why not? I'll feel better that I got it out, and it won't hurt anything. This has been in the back of my mind for a while now, so... yeah. Putting it on my little corner of lj.
