My dear, dear Lim. I ended this fic, and took a long inhale and let it out with the widest smile on my face. This has to be a favorite of mine by you. It's so seamless how all of this flowed. It's a quick read but nothing gets lost. You feel everything in the banter and the emotion.
There are many death fics, some people do the theme better than others, but you've done it well. Why? Because we - the readers - fell in love with Jessica just as Taeyeon did and then were made to feel how painful it was that she lost that "what could have been". It was that dinner for one line that got me and kept me invested throughout this entire chapter and kept me on the rollercoaster of feelings Taeyeon experienced to the end.
Those cranes. You romantic, you! What Jessica wrote was sweet and I love the things Taeyeon added onto them. I love how Jessica didn't allow Taeyeon to get too close and revealed it after she was gone. I didn't see it selfish at all on Jessica's part. But rather kind of thoughtful. I love the way you weaved the stories Taeyeon told to the kids and Jessica into the entire scope of the fic (Fruits Basket still lol). I loved their relationship from beginning to end as I did this fic from beginnign to end.
I could keep going but I'll stop there. This is great. You should keep writing TaengSic...and I'm going to do my best to make you write other pairings too ahem.
Dear Boxxy, receiving a comment like this from you is one of my greatest achievements in my writing career. I am so thankful for your kind words. I literally let out a scream when I read this for the first time. Ugh, I am so happy someone picked up on the dinner for one line as I intentionally planted it three times throughout the fic. :') Ughhhh Boxxy! Yes, yes, yes! Jessica was a thoughtful closet romanticist at heart. Haha, I don't want to write any more TaengSic, but thank you. Haha, I don't know about the other pairings... you know where my heart lies. Toodles my friend!
