(one).
“Maybe one day you’ll stop drooling every time you fantasize about Professor Byun,” Jongin remarked, sliding into the seat next to Chanyeol. Chanyeol tore his gaze from Baekhyun up at the front, eying his best friend from behind his glasses.
“I am not fantasizing about the professor!” Chanyeol protested as he took off his farsighted glasses, though his gaze subconsciously gets drawn back to the professor up at front, who was leaning against his desk. Chanyeol forgot about his friend quickly enough, eyes running up Baekhyun’s lean form. The professor looked really good in his black slacks and button-up t-shirt and honestly, to Chanyeol, blue was just all sorts of perfect on Baekhyun.
Baekhyun seemed to notice his gaze, nodding his head as a bright smile flashed. Chanyeol was dazzled almost as quickly as he had been when he had first seen that smile. Baekhyun really didn’t look old enough to be teaching - he practically looked like Chanyeol’s age. Perhaps that was one of the reasons why Chanyeol was so interested in the first place.
“You’re drooling again,” Jongin poked Chanyeol in the ribs, smirking when Chanyeol tried to get away from those almost-painful fingers. “Honestly, how did you even graduate in high school as valedictorian? There’s no logic in that whatsoever.”
Chanyeol rubbed at his side with a glare, ignoring his best friend and laying his head onto the desk.
“Ah,” Jongin said. He sounded peculiar but before Chanyeol could interpret what it meant, Jongin was already shouting. “Professor! Chanyeol died again today!”
(two).
Baekhyun stared at him from the opposite side of the table, looking adorably confused and Chanyeol really just wanted to take him up into his arms and smother him with affection. He probably would have, too, if it hadn’t been for Jongin looking at them intently from five tables over, motioning for Chanyeol to finally make his move because “he was tired of having to put up with Chanyeol’s gooey eyes and gross drooling,” or so he put it. Chanyeol could feel his face burn in shame when he saw the looks Jongin was getting.
“I thought you and Jongin needed help?” Baekhyun asked. Unlike other stuffy professors, Baekhyun was always willing to go out of his way to help his students, which was probably why everyone liked him so much. Well, that, and also because Baekhyun was hot.
“Ahaha,” Chanyeol laughed awkwardly, scratching at his nose. He hoped that his flush wasn’t too apparent. “Yes, well, it doesn’t surprise me that he’s not here...”
“Jongin sure likes to cause trouble for others, huh?” Baekhyun laughed, and Chanyeol became enamoured with him again. This was what it was like to really feel in love, Chanyeol thought dreamily to himself, unaware of how he was staring at Baekhyun. Baekhyun’s angelic face turned concerned. “Are you okay? Chanyeol? Hello?” Baekhyun waved a hand in front of Chanyeol before the student finally snapped out of it, flush returning with a vengeance.
To the side, Jongin was laughing up a storm, fists banging silently against the table. Chanyeol made sure to add Jongin to his list of people to kill.
“S-Sorry,” Chanyeol said, and Baekhyun merely looked amused, shaking his head to wave off the apology.
“Honestly though,” Baekhyun said, sipping at his iced tea. He sounded amused. “I really only came for Jongin. You don’t need any help in my class, as smart as you are.”
“I don’t really need any help,” Chanyeol admitted, though he couldn’t stop his smile at the praise Baekhyun gave him. Impulse shook at him and he blurted, “But would you like to hang out with me, Professor?” He must’ve been catching onto Jongdae’s mouth disease, and made a note to keep away from Chen for a while until his mouth was under his own control again.
Baekhyun gave him a measured look, seemingly able to see all the way past Chanyeol’s nervous smile where his intentions lay. Chanyeol’s heart went into overdrive and he clasped his hands together under the table to stop himself from shaking too much.
Finally, Baekhyun smiled. “Sure, I have nothing to do today. Why not?”
Chanyeol made an extra note to kiss Jongin next time they talked.
(three).
Chanyeol and Baekhyun, despite their supposed-to-be-professional-relationship, got close enough for Chanyeol to start calling Baekhyun...well, Baekhyun. Chanyeol was already on cloud nine, smiling at everyone and anyone who came within a five meter distance and blinding them with his smile.
“You’re scaring people off,” Jongin muttered at him, squinting. “That creepy smile of yours is going to drive everyone away.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Chanyeol said, smile unfaltering. “As long as I have Baekhyun, I’m okay.”
“Did something good happen?” Jongin asked curiously, looking eager to find out. Chanyeol was slightly suspicious about why Jongin was so eager, but responded anyway. Maybe it was only natural that Jongin wanted to hear about his life? They were best friends, after all.
“We’re going out again later today!” he informed Jongin happily, getting excited all over again just thinking about it.
“Ohoho,” Jongin laughed evilly, but Chanyeol didn’t hear it, head once again up in the clouds.

Chanyeol was laughing at Baekhyun’s hopeless attempts at grabbing something in one of the crane claw toy vending machines when a text came.

Chanyeol clicked the picture. It was a shot of him and Baekhyun looking into the toy machine just a few seconds ago.
“Holy-” Chanyeol started, but when Baekhyun looked at him questioningly, he hid his phone behind his back. “I-It’s nothing...” When Baekhyun went back to trying to get a toy, Chanyeol twitched his head around, trying to find his best friend.
Jongin was so damn creepy sometimes! Honestly, why was Chanyeol even friends with him?

Since Baekhyun’s house was closer, Chanyeol had said he would ‘walk his beloved professor home,’ though in reality, he didn’t want the date (as it was adequately named in his head) to end so quickly. When they neared an apartment, Baekhyun motioned them to stop.
“This would be me,” Baekhyun said, smiling as he hugged a stuffed white puppy to his chest. Chanyeol almost melted at the sight. The stuffed animal looked almost like Baekhyun. Earlier, he had won the small dog for Baekhyun after his professor’s repeated attempts had failed. Seeing Baekhyun cuddling close to it made him want to skip around.
“Ah, okay!” Chanyeol chirped out. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach. He wanted to do something...even though the small voice in the back of his head yelled at him not to do it. He flushed, leaning down and pecking Baekhyun’s lips quickly before dashing off. “See you tomorrow, Baekhyun!”
“Chanyeol!” Baekhyun exclaimed in shock, but Chanyeol was already running away.

The next day, Baekhyun had asked Chanyeol to come to his office. Jongin had given them both a look before smirking at Chanyeol.
“Go get ‘im, tiger,” Jongin cheered, giving the standard ‘hwaiting’ pose before walking off to get them lunch. “I’ll be waiting at the usual table. You better tell me all the details later!”
So here Chanyeol was, in Baekhyun’s office. He squirmed in his seat, unable to look at Baekhyun in the eye properly, studying the patterns on the desk attentively. He could feel Baekhyun staring at him silently.
“Chanyeol,” Baekhyun finally said. Chanyeol could feel his heart slowly dying; this was it...the end. “I’m sure you know why I called you up here.”
“Yeah,” Chanyeol muttered, a small, bitter smile pulling at his lips.
“Then you know we can’t have a relationship,” Baekhyun stated. He walked around and moved himself directly in front of Chanyeol. Chanyeol could practically hear the crack that was made in his heart.
“Yeah,” he muttered. He still couldn’t look at Baekhyun in the eye.
That was probably why he was unprepared for when Baekhyun squatted down in front of him, taking Chanyeol’s face into a cradle of his palms. Baekhyun was slow and deliberate, hesitating before silently closing the gap between them. Chanyeol’s mind screamed at him. Then their lips touched and all the screaming inside Chanyeol’s head went silent.
He was...beyond shocked. He didn’t know what was going on, but Baekhyuns lips against his felt so good and-
Chanyeol’s eyes slid shut, his arms going up to pull Baekhyun closer to him. Baekhyun let him, climbing on top of Chanyeol as the kiss deepened. Chanyeol wanted this to go on forever, drowning in the taste that was so uniquely Baekhyun but then the need for oxygen drove them to part.
Baekhyun leaned his forehead against Chanyeol’s, biting at his reddened lips before giving a tentative smile. “We can’t have a relationship now... so if you can wait until you graduate...”
Ecstatic, Chanyeol laughed, hugging Baekhyun to his chest like he’d wanted to do in so long.
“Of course I’ll wait!”
(four).
one year later-
Chanyeol rolled around in the bed, blearily opening his eyes. The settings in the dark room were unfamiliar to him, and he squinted as he tried to remember where he was before a smile lit up his face.
That’s right... he had graduated just yesterday and after the graduation party...
As if sensing his thoughts, a pair of warm arms wrapped around him, a naked body pressing intimately against his. He turned around, smiling softly at Baekhyun, who had been disturbed earlier and was now blinking at him sleepily. Chanyeol promptly melted into a puddle of gooey love at the sight.
“Chanyeol?” Baekhyun asked, still in a state of sleep and awareness, concern slowly making him awaken. “Is something wrong?” Chanyeol felt a rush of desire; Baekhyun was so sexy when he was drowsy.
“Nah,” Chanyeol said, moving so he could press close to Baekhyun. “Just remembering the fantastic night I had.” He rolled on top of Baekhyun, grinning.
Baekhyun seemed to catch onto his intentions, wide awake now and smiling. Baekhyun wet his lips and Chanyeol couldn’t resist capturing his new lover’s mouth into a kiss as he started moving his hips. Baekhyun gasped, pulling away from the kiss as he wrapped his legs around Chanyeol.
“Already wanting more?” Baekhyun asked softly, amused. Chanyeol beamed down at him, moving over to grab the lube on the counter.
“I spent two years waiting, and you’re even more irresistible now than you were back then,” Chanyeol teased, pressing his fingers against Baekhyun. He watched Baekhyun’s eyes roll up into the back of his head.
A harsh ring sounded through the bedroom.
Chanyeol paused, looking at the phone going off at the head of the bed. The ringtone playing was the one he had preset for Jongin. Figures the bastard would know just when to call him. The nice side of him considered picking it up while the dark side thought about just maybe tossing it out the window when Baekhyun pulled his head down into a kiss.
“If you stop now, I just might do something to Jongin,” Baekhyun said. Chanyeol smiled into the kiss, deeming to ignore the ringing for now.
“Whatever you say, Professor.”
