[He pauses. Well, it's only fair that he admit to her who it is he sees after she admitted it to him.] ...My dead mother, and the person who I despise the most.
[She nods slightly.] They were murdered during the war by a man named Scar. They were doctors who were trying to treat him. [A tear slides down her cheek but at his words, she cries a little bit more.]
['The "Person you despise most," Riku? So I have left an impression on more than just the lingering darkness within your heart.' 'Don't listen to him, Riku. You know we still love you no matter how far you've gone-' Ugh, why won't they stop talking?!]
[His eye twitches at his annoyances, but he remains sympathetic towards Winry.] No, I'm sorry. No one deserves to lose someone so close to them like that.
So did my mother. All I know is that she passed away protecting the people that mattered to her. [...Which explains so much of why he wanted to be stronger so he could protect them and not die.]
...Where are you?
[No one should be alone to mourn like this, and since Winry's friends weren't here yet...]
[His mother and Xehanort were following him, but he paid little mind to in...besides wishing he could hold his mother's hand again. Every attempt to do so, however, just went through his grasp. Yet another painful sting.]
I've been here for a few months now. The forest's become a hang out of sorts for me.
It depends on the time of day, really. At night... certain unsavory folk tend to stalk the woods.
[He knows this from experience... his energy still hasn't fully returned, nor has his ribs stopped hurting from when he sparred with Vanitas after the last incident.]

[It's easier to face if you have someone there.]

Yeah...my dead parents.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[And since being he's technically a murderer...]

They died when I was little, so I don't see their faces as much any more. [She cries even more now.]
You lost someone close to you too, you lost your mother.

It's not as bad as seeing someone who I despise. It's nice seeing their faces again but...[She doesn't really know how to explain it.
[She blinks and glances around her.] Well there's a forest near me but I'm not really sure where I am, I guess.

...It still hurts, I know.
[He listens quietly, giving a faint nod.]
I know the area well.

Yes. [She responded as she looked around her some more. Her parents sat off to the side but she tried avoided looking at them.
[She blinks and graces him with a smile.] I'm glad one of us does.

[A pause.]
...Though it isn't exactly safe, there.

Oh. I see.
[She looks behind her at it.]
It's not? It seems perfectly safe to me.
