New Line Cinema bought the rights to Vampire: The Requiem, and they plan to make a movie. [1]

Although I know basically squat about Requiem (save what was hinted at, etc. in the earlier books, I guess) as long as it isn't the cinematic version of Kindred: the Embarrassment, Season 2, right?

No, it isn't. Requiem is basically a reimagining of the Vampire line supposedly closer to the way Vampire was originally envisioned.
