I wouldn't be affected too much by Tower going under, because I live so far away from any of their brick-and-mortar stores. And I know I've told you this before, but it sucks that there are practically no physical stores near my house that sell music other than the Oak Brook Borders (at least since CD Trader/CD Warehouse went under earlier this year).
So nowadays I buy most of my stuff online, directly from the artists or from CD Baby or The Ideal Copy if I can, from Amazon if I must.
And this is a big corporate chain, it's not like it's a mom-and-pop store or anything. If it disappears, I can't say I'd miss it.
As for Stargate SG-1... well... nine years is a long time, and if I were a fan I'd prefer it go out on a high note than do what The Simpsons has done: that is, go on for eighteen years, but spend at least half that time treading water.
