I'm still at school, and I just got a huge amount done. I graded 1.5 sets of labs and worked as much as I could on quantum. I'm fairly ready for my FORTRAN-Diffusion-Limited-Aggregation-Program-Project presentation that I have this Monday; I think my group is the only one currently finished. (I learned FORTRAN and programmed the core of the 2D fractal generator in about two weeks, four weeks ago. Extended it to 3D in about a day, then another day to add rotation and orientational sticking. Now just to run the program a bunch of times, changing parameters, get data, take some snapshots, and throw it all in powerpoint. Done.)
I had some tea to keep myself focused, but I think I had too much, so I'm now jittery and my stomach is not happy. The lack of food since 4:00 furthers this trouble. I will probably grab a bite soon.
I was originally planning on taking a late bus home, but I've been contacted about going out and seeing some local band at some nearby bar. I may take up the offer, since I've been so productive today, it would be a nice way to let off some steam. Then again, I don't know how I'd get home, since no buses go my way past ~10pm. I may just crash at Friend's house, which I believe is nearby.
Before I go, on the subject of productivity. Normally I am not so productive. Perhaps it is the huge amount of stuff I need to get done, but I think it has more to do with distractions. At home, there's roommate, internet, books, naps, food, etc., to distract me from the task at hand. At school, there is the internet. I'm also in a less comfortable environment, so I feel less like I can relax, and more like I should do something, since my office is generally for work. The tea (ie, caffeine) also helps. I'm not a big caffeine consumer, so even the small amount in my (albeit brewed strong) oolong tea gets me going. Caffeine is supposed to help with alertness and focuses the mind, as well as the energy and jitters. Tea hits me with all of them. Oddly enough, coffee (with a far higher percentage of caffeine) doesn't do almost anything unless I consume huge quantities. With one cup I'll still pass out in seminar.
Enough rambling. It's time to do something.
