My week in brief:
- Friday: Went out with Leah for S&aBJ Day, which was quite nice.
- Saturday: EXALTED gaming, which by definition is awesome. The characters build something in four months that normally would've taken six years by mere mortal means.
- Sunday: My one and only free-to-bum-around day.
- Monday: Studied old prelim exams for 3+ hours, then had lunch and a nap with Leah. Afterwards, I went to Kieren's for St. Patrick's Day, which was crazy-packed-with-people, and awesome. I made new friends, albeit while drunk. They bought the drinks, however.
- Tuesday: Spent half the day recovering from the night before, as well as walking around with wet socks. Otherwise studied and helped Leah study for prelim exams.
- Wednesday: Slept in, then took my Organic prelim exam. Hated the so-close-it-could-be-either-one questions. Afterwards, went to the Mall of America for dinner and Avatar rides.
- Thursday: Took Analytical prelim exam, and guessed on ~30% of the questions. Did some grading, then found out I passed both of of the tests (!!!). Made my day. Later that night, went with Thor to see Les Claypool at 1st Ave. It was good albeit strange.
- Friday: Played EXALTED for seven hours because it was so damn awesome. Some of the best roleplaying I have ever seen, I might add, came from that session. I'm much-anticipating the next session, even more than usual. Had dinner at another irish pub (Blarny's) and did a bit of grading.
- Saturday: Did a lot of grading, since it's now more than a week late. Also went to get new boots, since my old ones had holes in them that trapped the snow and forced it to melt into my socks. Decided on combat boots, which will probably give me blisters for the next week.
- Sunday (probably): Hopefully finish grading, since I'm almost finished, and most likely stay at Leah's.
Wow, what a busy break! I was on campus every day but Sunday. I feel that is somewhat pathetic, but appropriate for a graduate student.
