The gleam of metal was hypnotizing: cool steel in one instance, warm copper in another. She watched, rapt, as they mixed, a dance of luster, both leading and both following. The ebb and sway, mercurial, glistening, had her eyes fascinated, the shine in them growing all the brighter with the reflection. Iron forged ahead, drawing radiant silver with it, to it, drawing them together in burst of brilliance, roaring in her ears.
Calm followed, smooth and steady. Light danced softly on the shine, leaping and pirouetting gracefully along its path, magnificent and proud in its final encore.
The music stopped.
