So...

I was exhausted, to the point of falling asleep on the couch watching YouTube videos... and then I thought because I checked those videos and subscribed to some new people, that I should go ahead and delete the stupid subscription update email that it was going to send me. That's when I found an email from one of the agents that has D. I had sent her a query letter and the first 50 pages right off the bat (her guidelines) and she responded asking for a full. I sent that a couple days ago. Then at 12:33 this morning (but I just got it now, obviously) she asked for a synopsis. I double-checked the first email and all she asked for was the full. So asking for the synopsis has to serve a purpose right? I mean, if she wanted to know my pacing arcs and/or the ending, wouldn't she have wanted to read the synopsis before asking for the full?

Gah! I'm so wired right now! I'm wide-freaking-awake and uber nervous again. I wouldn't have been nervous if she asked for both at the same time, or the synopsis and then the full. But because she asked for them in reverse order, I wonder if that means she's sending the first 50 pages, plus a synopsis off to someone important... like her boss, or a reader or someone.

Gah!!!!!

And I have RI waiting in the wings with readers that I want to have polished and ready to go in case she comes down with a big, fat R - because she also reps historical fiction. So, even if she sends me a "thanks, but no thanks" I can always go ... "Oh, ok. Well, would you like to take a look at this one instead?" and see where that gets me... It never hurts to ask, right? I mean, she obviously read the first 50 pages at least if she wanted to ask for more. So she must like something about my style/voice/characters/whatever.

Wide.ass.awake.

I'm never going to sleep now. But that's ok, since I'm starting horrendous third shift tonight, I guess staying awake all morning and then sleeping all afternoon/evening will be ok.. Except that I won't see my husband. But I'll see him Tues/Wed.

GAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Can't stop thinking about it now! It's going to drive me nuts! My non-existent nails are going to be even worse than they already are, waiting for some kind of response. And damn is she quick! From query/partial to full to synopsis has been like, a month. Maybe 1.5. Super quick in the literary world.

Ok... I think I'm going to go watch some more videos and try to lull myself back to sleep. And now obsessively check my email every two seconds, hoping she's a crack pot too and wide awake, doing work.
