[i have been working on this entry since 6:30 a.m. sheesh!]
+ daughter child was close to six or seven before we let her really watch television/videos or have any sort of screen time, and even then it was ferociously limited. yeah, i was that parent. lol she complains a bit now because kimjoy is not close to six or seven and she gets television whenever she wants it. and she wants it quite a bit.
today we watched puppies....
i had to turn a video on for her so i could make a cup of coffee and calm her down - she was super excited that i was up before dawn (5:45) when i'm usually hiding until closer to 8 or 8:30.
there's a very carefully curated playlist for her: mornings are for quiet "dog t.v." videos, with classical music and slo-mo walking/playing dogs; after i've had coffee and while we're having a cuddle, her preference is for 5-10 minutes of shorts - mostly from a channel called RxCKSTxR voiceover pet videos - which actually entertain both of us; afternoons she likes agility videos, especially the rescue dog agility; evenings are for bears and farm animals. kittens and cats are verboten because they can't be trusted.
+ i'm up stupid early because kid is working from 7:30-10:30 (poor thing...the weather is weathering this morning) doing barn chores with a really nice equine therapist. my alarm was set for 7, but i had so much trouble sleeping last night that i finally just gave up and climbed out of bed.
a sleep aid most likely would have been prudent before bed, but i'm occasionally the anti prude...ent. my mind was going fast with THINGS and STUFF and IDEAS. plus, i was listening to an engrossing audiobook and it was keeping me from relaxing. SOMEONE (me) should learn. or something.
one of the keeping me up things was a horse we're going to look at on thursday (or friday). on paper and after talking to the trainer? she sounds PERFECT(ish). if she's 3/4 as good as she says, i may be in love. of course i got the price confused with another horse i peeked at, and the new price was....well, it was not as palatable as what i thought it was. by like....twice the amount. =\
mister is looking at numbers today and we're contacting a local dressage trainer we know who might know the lady brokering the horse (the broker is a grand prix dressage rider, which means they can make most horses look SO GORGEOUS when they're riding them....but when you get on, you look like you're insane and your horse has tourette syndrome), so maybe we can get some additional trainer-to-trainer info.
we'll see. if it's meant to be, it will be. if not? i'll pout and feel stompy before getting over it. ;)
bluebelle horse seems to have hurt her leg last night or this morning, probably from fucking around and finding out in the mud.
horses. =D
+ today i have a visit with my fat camp NP. she's going to be so happy with how we'll i've done in the last six weeks. :) she'll bug me about more exercise and drinking more water, but other than those two things? gold star!
