Hello all:

Even if you aren't interested in this job, could you help me spread the word as widely as possible? Feel free to link to this post and sent the link out in email to friends you think would be a good fit for this job (unless you're applying, then you can horde the information all to yourself ;-). I'll be happy to answer questions about this position as comments on this blog entry or in email.

We've just opened a position for a web applications programmer at $50,000.00 with benefits at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.

This position will report to me and work with our College web team as well as many of the College of Liberal Arts units to create a new infrastructure for our web content management and also develop new web-based tools for use throughout the College. Thanks to the College of Agriculture, our first tool is ready to go: A College-wide events calendar that is easy to search and look up categories of events.

You can check out our current website at http://clla.tamu.edu. A list of our units and their sites are at the bottom left at that URL.

The job description and online application process is available at https://tamujobs.tamu.edu. Please click on "Search Postings" and enter the Notice of Vacancy number (NOV) 090508 on the box in the middle row all the way at the right hand side. When the direct URL is published, I'll update this positng.
