Our second programming position just posted: A web applications developer. The official title is lead software applications developer (Notice of Vacancy number: 080061, I list the NOV number because we have two lead software applications developer positions open right now).
We are a Zope and Plone shop over here and we are looking for the programmer who can integrate into our web team and take our website to the next level. We do not expect to find many pre-trained python programmers out there; we do have a training budget for this position.
We have several applications that we would like to create including a way that faculty can easily manage their academic information both for the web and for their annual faculty reports. The person in this position will also work with our departments and units as part of our web team and eventually extend our Zope and Plone system to all units in the College of Liberal Arts that want to use it. We also expect that this person will contribute back to the Zope and Plone projects and really leverage the strength of these open source communities in building cool new products and tools for us and others who want to use them.
