I'm the kind of guy that dips his root beer popsicle in root beer. And you know what? I'm okay with that.
The sun's out these days, and that means headaches for me. But I've found an absolutely wonderful place to spend my afternoons. And it has sufficient shade. I don't know how many of you have been to Seattle, but there's this intersection, Pine and 4th, that has a little stage and an open, concrete area with various benches and ledges and fountains and such. It's quite a happenin' spot, and is, at most times, populated by a large variety of folk. So what I do is, I find a little spot to sit in the shade amongst these folks, but not in their way, and I draw. Sometimes I draw people I see, sometimes I just draw whatever. But it's really nice. Kind of a practice in my tolerance of people, as I've become a lot more judgemental the past year or so. As anyone that reads this thing knows, I've had a tough run of things, and, unfortunately, I've let it all get the better of me. So I'm setting out to fix that.
I've a whole new look on things for the summer, so I hope I can make it good. Because, as much as I'd rather it not be, it really is up to me. For the most part, anyway. I mean, if I get nailed by some SUV and parapalegize or something, I think I could argue myself out of blame.
Erik gets here on Thursday; I can't wait. Finally someone to bomb with.
I still have the most amazing dame in all the land.
