Lets track me across the globe.
Leaving Sydney started by meeting John and his family at the airport. I had hidden a gameboy advance in my carry-on and was planning to give it to John as a 3yr anniversary gift. Whilst in the check in line, a discussion regarding power adapters/converters came up and questioning wether we should buy some on the way out of the country. Mum exclaims, "But how were you planning to charge your gameboy??"
Grr, and so I dug it out of my bag and handed it to John. Very funny.
Hawaii, Wakiki.
hmm, what can I say other than uber-cheezy smorgasboards and comercialism. Made the most of it though and walked to diamond head, checked out the international marketplace, visited the aquarium (bargain, $4!) and spent a day at the polenisan culture centre in the HEAVY rain. Although the P centre was rainy the whole time, the heat made it alright wading through water that was knee deep. Heh, overall it was fun as, and can't wait to get the photo's back.
ok so right NOW Im sitting in my Grandad's kitchen in Ontario Canada. What used to be HIS kitchen. Im confused/disgusted at the way my Mum and uncle have been acting now my grandad is in a nursing home. -Mind you, he's a smart man and has little to no physical problems. He's only there because he has short term memory loss. So in my opinion, he should be still in control and have the first say when it comes to his own assets. Instead, my Mum and Uncle are dividing the items that he doesn't have in the nursing home, including things they haven't asked or taken to him in his new residence.
EG, his favourite paintings that are worth a lot of money, they aren't taking it to him incase of damage. They're his paintings, who are they saving them for?
his favourite clocks (Gandad has over 100 clocks he's collected because he enjoys fixing them) because he might get fixated on the time. I don't get this reasoning because most his clocks, he keeps switched off so they don't tell time anyway. They're beautiful clocks.
His new room is so sterile, white, and plain. So unlike his house. Poor man.
So yeah, now Ive had my rant, I'll talk up Ottawa more later when it isn't 1am local time. (5pm back home)
