The Cellar Door is an Open Throat; a theodore bagwell mix (ep)

****

This is what happens when you marathon all four seasons of Prison Break.
If you're familiar with T-Bag then these songs will make sense. There are only a few tracks, but I like how this mix came out. I think the song choices suit him. It was hard not to use the Mountain Goats songs for every single track - I had to use a lot of restraint, but still wound up with two in there.
Even if you've never seen / don't care about Prison Break, I hope you enjoy the mix.

1. Outlaw Song - 16 Horsepower

I awoke and was surrounded
Nine of the law stood before me
Askin me my name and business
Demanding proof of me

2. The House That Dripped Blood - The Mountain Goats

Take what you can carry
But let me tell you brother
Still waters go stagnant
Bodies bloat
And the cellar door is an open throat

3. I'm An Animal - Neko Case

You could say it's my instinct
Yes I still have one.
There's no time to second-guess it.
Yes there are things that I'm still so afraid of
But my courage is roaring like the sound of the sun

4. Peace Beneath The City - Iron & Wine

Say something for the body buried like a keepsake
Mother of million mouths with the very same name
Black valley, peace beneath the city

5. In the Attic - The Antlers

But I was upstairs and downstairs
And outside on the roof
Small stars and steel bars
Say the ghosts up in the attic tell the truth

6. Ezekiel 7 and the Permanent Efficiency of Grace - The Mountain Goats

I had his arms tied up behind him
We were together all day
Maybe make Culiacán by sunset
Try to anyway
